Since its creation in 2010, the Intelligence Academy (Académie du renseignement), an interministerial training body, has been helping to nurture and pass on a shared professional culture among the members of the French intelligence community.

 

As a member of this community, the Academy is also working to ensure that intelligence is perceived as a genuine public policy and that its services are recognised as such by public and private decision-makers and by all our fellow citizens. Its institutional attachment to the Prime Minister reflects the interministerial vocation of the intelligence academy, for the benefit of the departments and services of different ministries.

The intelligence academy contributes to the training of intelligence services under the authority of the ministers responsible for internal security, the armed forces, the economy and public action and accounts, strengthening links within the French intelligence community and disseminating the intelligence culture.

The Intelligence Academy joined the French Defence University in 2023.
