As part of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the French armed forces provide a decisive and deterring support to the domestic security forces on the national territory. Their main mission is to guarantee an effective response at all times to a militarised terrorist threat, particularly in the framework of the current Operation Sentinelle operation which has been extended to meet the specific needs of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
