Debating

On Friday, January 28, HEC’s MBA and the Ecole de Guerre Debate team came together for an intense debating session on the theme of superheroes. This topic was selected in order to catch the debaters off-guard and force them to think outside the box. Motions were released only 15 minutes before the debate to push participants to use quickthinking, an essential skill to master for future leaders. The debaters used humor and argumentation techniques, displaying the quickness of mind necessary to take on leadership roles. To foster interoperability, the participants debated in blended teams, using their best publicspeaking skills to convince the judges and reach the final debate. The winning duo received many congratulations and a small gift for their outstanding debating performance.
